Very nice. In the case of No. 8 was the architect Frank Gehry by any chance? Certainly in his style. He was to have built some flats on the South Coast (Brighton/Hove) but I think the plans were scrapped.

seems to me that, despite the fact that the content of the wts literatrash is crap, i've never seen a typo or grammatical error in the lit.
anybody ever noticed this or ever found instances of errors?
and, if there are no errors, how do they manage that?

I have had a Canon G9 for a couple of years now and it has been first class. The new G11 is still a bit expensive but if anything like its predecessor should be well worth it.

It depends on where you live! Here in the U.K. we use ENGLISH English so there are spelling errors in every paragraph. Very confusing for youngsters and I blame my poor spelling on reading US material when I was young.
The Revelation book was ridiculous; SULPHUR and SULFUR in the same paragraph depending on whether it was a Bible quote or not.

a friend handed it back to mr jones saying: "that's yours.".
monti admitted wounding and was jailed for two-and-a-half years.
At least she had the balls to say sorry!

he stated that he had heard that ray franz was dead.
he didn't call him by name, of course.
Given that most of today's Dubs don't even know about 1975, do they know anything about Ray Franz?
I mentioned Ray's death to a couple of people at KH tonight, neither had heard of him. In the case of the elder I spoke to, he was born about 1980 so there is a reason for that.
However I mentioned it to a very 'theocraatic' sister in her 70's and she had never heard of Ray or Fred Franz. I explained about the GB connection. I asked if she could remember N H Knorr and she asked me if he is on the GB also! This sister has been in the 'truth' for years and answers each meeting, out in FS regularly etc. I suspect these are not in the minority.

does anyone know what happened to douglas walsh when the society lost the case?
all the references to the case concentrate on freddie franz and his inabilty to translate a single verse of the bible into hebrew and to grant suiter who let the cat out regarding disfellowshiping and altered doctrine.. walsh, i understand was a pioneer and possibly the congregation servant.
did he go to prison?
A bit of additional information on this guy.
Born 1 November 1934. Baptised at 12 yrs 3 months (nearly 3 yrs before leaving school). Pioneer from leaving school at 15. Appointed Congregation servant 20 October 1952 (nearly 18 yr old) at Dumbarton (Scotland) congregation.
Does anyone know of anyone in Dumbarton congregation? I seem to remember a family called EACUPS from there many years ago.

in 1954 a controversial court case, douglas walsh vs. the right honorable james latham clyde, m.p.c.
was held in scotland to determine.
if jehovah's witnesses should be exempt from military service and granted status as "ordained ministers".. what is of outstanding interest is that testimony in this trial is extraordinarily revealing.
Another interesting feature of the Douglas Walsh case was that Franz admitted he was responsible for checking the accuracy of the NWT (the sections that had been done up until then.) However when asked to translate a single verse from the Bible into Hebrew HE COULD NOT DO IT!!
Doesn't that just inspire confidence.
